Hello all. Well, it's been a rough week with multiple issues with my Studio 5000 and FTV software. It seems like they want me to delete it all and start over (right in the middle of a massive project)! Ugggh. OK-that was my rant.

My real question (first Kinetix servo project) is where to look for good instruction on fault words/bits? The AXIS_CIP_DRIVE tag has like 200 faults and status bits? I'm looking for a good instrction that describes what the heck they all do and maybe a generic word to monitor that says "drives faulted". Something that i can use in my logic to stop the process. There has to be something but I'm just drooling right now looking at the 200 status/fault bits... Thanks for any advice.

Looks like the *.AxisFault is what I'm looking for? Sure would be nice if there was some type of manual that explained what all the data was...There must be something somewhere....

Holy mental overload-lol!! So I guess when i have a AXIS_CIP_DRIVE tag (Kinetix 5550 on Ethernet I/P), i don't really need to use the tag.* extensions, I'm better using a GSV? Or could i use either? Thanks for the reply.

AB has some excellent examples and also some sample code that contains an AOI for the fault stuff and canned faceplates for FTV that make the implementation way easier...

I believe it was in the motion accelerator toolkit. I used it on a project and found it to be super helpful

Just a thought

That's good stuff! Thanks for the info- I have the accelerator toolkit. I'll check it out tomorrow.
