micrologix 1200 not seeing second expansion

Hey everyone

I have a micrologix 1200 that has a working OW16 module connected to it.. I need to expand again and have a OW08 here in the shop. I plug it in but, the 1200 doesn't recognize it in the rslogix read I/O config screen.. I have tried two and neither is recognized.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I forgot to cycle power is all

I personally try to avoid plugging expansion cards in with the power still on on the Micrologix platform. I don't think those are designed to be hot swappable. Turn power off, plug in I/O module, turn power back on.
