Question for Kinetix Gurus.

I have a Kinetix 6500 drive which consists of:
• (1) 2094-BC04-M03-M
• (1) 2094-BMP5-M
• (2) 2094-EN02D-M01-SO Faceplates
When I set this up I use BOOTP-DHCP to set the IP address of each respective drive.
Where is the IP address stored, in the Drive, or in the Faceplate?
OK I just answered my own question, it has to be in the faceplate because that’s the one with a MAC address.

In the past, I had a 2094-BMP5-M drive go bad in the field.
It was the smaller drive, so I sent both the 2094-BMP5-M drive and the 2094-EN02D-M01-SO Faceplate preconfigured with the correct IP address.

I’m wondering if I could have only sent the bad 2094-BMP5-M drive?
Will the EN02D-M01-SO Faceplate work even though it was configured connected to a different drive?

What I am getting at is, can I keep a backup drive of each flavor on the shelf, and then slap a preconfigured Faceplate on them, and be up and running?

Or do I need to configure the units together.
Thanks
