What settings did you use when you "created your runtime application"?

Thanks for responding Gomez. Under the Runtime Application it was
File name: Chandler
Save as type: Runtime 8.0 Application (*.mer)
Conversion to development apllication: Always allow conversion
Somehow it was trying to load my file name without the .mer, even though it showed up in the Source File: area WITH the .mer. I deleted it and typed it in by hand, instead of browsing for it, and it transferred immediately. Surely I had hit something wrong, but it literally read the same thing I typed as it did whenever I browse-checked the file. weird
