I was messing around with this little Micro 810 PLC and I noticed that when power is removed and then restored, that the counters reset.
Are there any retentive counters on the Micro810?

I've not used the micro PLC's, but in every other AB PLC I've played with, all the integers are retentive. Which makes sense to me - I can't think of any applications where I want a figure to be reset to zero on powerup, and if I do, it's one rung to do so...

I get how to Add integers to create my own counter, but no matter what, the numbers clear on power reset.
It's not imperative, but I was just hoping to build a perpetual counter by cascading integer values.
I'll keep on searching.

You have to go into the variable selector in Connected Componetns Workbench and check the RETAINED check box for the variable you assigned as the result of your counter.

Thank-you NFthree,
I finally get it.
I knew that there had to be a way.
Works great.
