Hello all,

Hope someone can help me, i have a Omron CP1L-EL20DR-D and an expantion unit - Omron CP1W-8ET1 (transistor soursing)

1. are these 2 compatible with eachother ?

2. If they are, i am struggeling to fint the adress to use ie C101.01 as a pulse (or PWM) output, it will only use 0.0 and 0.01 witch are on the main unit, but this is a relay unit, not a transistor. (thats why the expantion unit)

Thanks in advance

You are correct. You have the wrong PLC for what you are trying to do. The pulse outputs can only be mapped to the CPU. You need a CP1L with transistor outputs and a relay output expansion module.

Thanks for quick answere.

It was the answere i was afraid of :) , so the expantion unit I have (witch is a transistor expantion) can only be used if the CPU is transistor in first place ?

Thanks again.

Well ... no .... That expansion module can be used with any CP1L or CP1H but the CPU must have DC outputs to support pulse train. Those can ONLY be in the CPU, not in the expansion module. The CP series expansion modules do not support the high speed input or pulse output functions.
