C++ Communication to PLC

Hello, I have experiance with PLC'c and I am trying to get info regarding using C++ to communicate with a Allen Bradley PLC. I would like to start from the beginning if anyone has a book to recommend or a web site or anything that will help. Thanks in advance.
 
Communications

I have used Automated Solutions software for a number of years now. It can communicate in either C++ or Visual Basic. You can download their software and try it out for free. Their is some runtime restrictions on how long it runs for the demo stuff.
