I want to upgrade our control system, I just change the WINCC computers in control room, I don't want to change the Siemens PLC (S5-155U) even though it is too old. I installed WINCC 6.0 for new computers and converted the project to the version. The Profibus cards installed in new computers are Siemens CP5614, Simatic Net software is Version 6.2 CD 11/2003, the problem is that I can't find the way to configure the logical connection between WINCC and CP5614 drive. I appreciate everybody to give me information and sugestion.

Thanks

Hello,

I don't know if i can help you. I made a connection with WinCC 6.0 (CP1613) and an S7 with an CP443-1.

What exactly do you mean with Logical connections?

What CP card is in the PLC CP1430?

Thanks a lot, Rudi.
The cp card in PLC S5-155U is CP1543 FMS/DP, I don't know how to get the XDB file to configure WINCC 6.0 connection. Does the XDB file support S5 PLC?

Best regards

Steve
