A-B has built several different versions of Data Highway Plus interface cards for PC's since the network was introduced about 20 years ago. Generically these are referred to as "KT" cards.
1784-KT is an 8-bit ISA card
1784-KTX is a 16-bit ISA card
1784-PKTX is a PCI card
The PKTX uses a "plug and play" driver for Windows OSes that support that feature.
But for the 1784-KT and KTX, you must set a memory location and an interrupt via DIP switches, then match those settings in RSLinx. There is no driver other than RSLinx.
Setting up ISA cards and memory locations and interrupts is a bit of a lost art since the advent of PCI and plug-and-play in the last 7 years. That's why there is a good Knowbase document describing the basics of using those settings with the 1784-KT and KTX cards.
