If you want accuracy in alarm, stamping you still cannot beat the PLC scan - end of line. Depends when the the alarm goes off within the scan - does not matter what else you do.

That is an old PLC. 1.00 is an input not an output. Check the manual but I think outputs start at 10.00 - have not seen one of them for many years. Make sure the relay has a flywheel diode in it.

At those temperatures up to about 250C I use RTDs rather than thermocouples. I will never use type J if I can help - iron rusts very quickly if there is a lot of humidity and it can get into the TC.

Agree Ronnie - I will just say use KEEP or SET and RSET and bit counters and compares for the results! So easy! Copy and paste stuff and change a few I/O numbers.
