Omron s6 plc!

Still have a few hundred of these clunking away after 30+ years at many customers. What a reliable beast. Yes relay outputs **** out but are still readily replaceable!

IMHO VFD's [Frequency Inverters]are a much better solution that "old style" soft starters. AND in most cases less cost and MANY suppliers. I wouldn't waste my time on soft starters anymore.

If the USB to Serial adapter has the FTDI chip it will most likely work no matter the make. But older non-FTDI chip units are less likely to dependent on manufacture and model.

I've used IN4001 diodes for all 24VDC relays and coils for over 25 years. Never had a problem. Cheap and simple to install.
