Trouble matching speeds

Your gearbox is rated at 1750, I would think 2050 would be screaming and it would heat up.

Try contacting them like Lynx777 said, they may have a upgrade and you can swap out one gear to get the gains you need.
 
I would think they are just like the electrical industry and plus 10% would be OK but anything more than that I would put a thermocouple on the gearbox to watch the temp

For the most part I agree. 10% over, no problem. Higher than 15% I start worrying about the quality of construction and the basic design. Which is when I like to at least have a talk with the manufacture about how far I can push things.
