Hi,

I am trying to create a EDS file to describe a device.
I started from a template and used EZ-EDS to create the file.
While it opens fine with EZ-EDS, opening it with the Rockwell EDS Hardware Installation tools returns errors:
The following error occured in the [Assembly] section of the EDS file: The data format of 'Member Reference' field in [Assem1] in entry 'System Online'.
The following error occured in the [Assembly] section of the EDS file: The data format of 'Member Reference' field in [Assem2] in entry 'BOOL 0'.

Is there an obvious error in the file? I don't understand the error codes returned by the Rockwell software.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Here is the section of the EDS file that causes problems:

No, this is for a National Instruments Vision System. I made some progress since my first post. Changing the Assembly section to something like the following fixes the errors, but I wanted to give users more granularity over the default members of each assembly, instead of defining it as a big block. In our vision configurable software, we define the content of each assembly as described in my first post, and I wanted to reflect that in the EDS file.
Is that possible? Is there a specific syntax to do that?

Thanks.

Sorry I have never built an EDS. I would reverse engineer a file that I already have and a device I understood.
