I am a PLC Teacher in a small goverment class, and I wonder if you can help me to find some free demo software of PLC programming, to let my students go thru it, see how it works, and how similar that software is to lead them to work with some real brands as GE, Rockwell (Allen Bradley) or Siemens.
My e mail is [email protected]
Feel free to mail me anytime!

Dear Roy I am also new, I downloaded a simutator program from Siemens inder the LOGO name and it works in boolean blocks, it is interesting once you get onto it.I did it some time ago look under Siemens and follow the file structure. There is also one from Moeller that I had problems with that I posted under Moeller 800 and asked for help with. The Moeller problem was that it was loaded into a NT structure,I phoned the reps and installed a disk in WIN 98 and it runs well, and the low level programs work well and are nice. The function blocks have me stopped. The internet help loads in German. These are the only two Sims I have loaded.

here you will find an s5 - 95-155 and s7 300-400 emulator.

"PG-2000 32-bit"

I have the siemens s5 and s7 software its not exactly the same but for the pupose of learning it should be ideal.

NEW PLC training software for FREE

EasyVeep is a tool for practice-focused, realistic PLC training with any PLC. The digital inputs and outputs (24 V) of a PLC control the various simulated modules via an interface to the PC. PLC outputs control the software module and changing sensor signals influence processing of the PLC program via the PLC inputs.
EasyVeep is easy to configure and very exciting to use.
EasyVeep is the new, free graphic 2D process simulation program with numerous attractive examples for PLC training. PLC training has to be fun. This includes realistic exercises and processes.

TRiLOGI

Yeah i came across TRiLOGI(www.tri-plc.com/trilogi.htm) - The Free Ladder Logic Simulator and found out its a valuable resource for the beginners in PLC World.
It supports programming in Ladder Diagram and Ladder+Basic (Similar to Visual basic) Higher level programming language. Also programs can be simulated on PC without purchasing a PLC.
They recently introduced The Internet TRiLOGI Version 5.0 which allows the PLCs to be programmed over the Internet using only a Java-enabled web browser such as the IE5 and Netscape Navigator version 4.5 or above.Thats really kool !!
