Hi All,

I'm having some trouble on determining the total power consumption of the following I/O modules: 1769-OB32,1769-OF8V, 1769- OW16, 1769-IQ16. Can I use the heat dissipation values to compute for the load of each module or is it better to use the on state current and multiply it per channel? What is the right way to calculate the power consumption of I/O Modules?

for the OB32
Heat Dissipation,max is 4.5W
On state current min is 1mA
Current per point,max is 0.5A @60degC and 1.0A @ 30degC
Current per Module,max is 4.0A @ 60degC and 8.0A @30degC

for OF8V
heat Dissipation,max is 2.16W
Load output current,max is 10mA

for OW16
Current draw at 5.1V is205mA
Current draw at 24V is 180mA
heat dissipation,max is 4.75W
Current, per point,max is 2.5A
Current per module ,max is 20A

for IQ16
heat dissipation is 3.55W
On state current min is 2mA
Current draw at 5.1V is 115mA

Thank you in advance.
