Hello,

I have two different PLC's. One being a 400 series siemens controller and the other is a L73 controller from RA. I am trying to communicate between the two using purely ethernet without any extra hardware. Is anyone able to aid me with this?

Thanks!

It's possible - Siemens have an application example here including documentation and code examples.

It will not be terribly straightforward though. If you really must do it with no additional hardware, then this is how it's done, but using a purpose-designed hardware solution will always end up cheaper. That is, unless the value of your labour is not figured into the calculation.
