Hello All,
Just wondering does anyone here have experience with Allen Bradley PLC training. I did it ten years back and found it to be not very hands on at all. Im a community college instructor that teaches mechatronics and I have some time and money to spend on professional development.
Im pretty decent at programming RSLogix500 and the automation direct click PLC and am looking at getting some experience with Studio 5000 now. Any advice or anyone who can recommend which allen bradley/rexel courses to take? Also its worth mentioning Ive contacted Rexel here in Maryland and am not exactly getting decent information.
Thanks,
Tim

Have you thought about just buying some hardware and going for it? if the school is paying you can get a good discount from Rockwell, if you are paying you may want to consider the light version of studio and getting a compactlogix, we sell trainers that you may also be interested in... but if your paying then take a look at ebay for some used equipment

I did the Rockwell school but that was a long time ago, it was good but it also depends on the instructor that you get, some are better than others.

Thanks for the advice. If my main objective was to learn studio 5000 - this is definitely the way I would go but my job actually requires traditional training in a classroom.
Tim
