This may be a dumb question but can I use a 1756-BA2 in place of the 1747-BA for a SLC 5/04? The reason I ask is that we stock the 1756-BA2 in our spare parts.

No the connection is different from the BA2 to the BA, see the details of the ones we sell below... they are also cheap and small enough to stock the correct one

1747-BA
Type: Lithium
Voltage: 3.0
Capacity: 1200 mAh
Color: Black Heat Shrink
Size: 0.58" diameter x 1.04" long

1756-BA2
Type: Lithium
Voltage: 3.0
Capacity: 1200 mAh
Color: Black Heat Shrink
Size: 0.68" dia. x 1.38" tall

1756-BA1
Type: Lithium
Voltage: 3.0
Capacity: 1800 mAh
Color: Black Heat Shrink
Size: 0.68" dia. x 1.38" tall

The BA1 has the same connection but the size is not the same and will have a hard time fitting in the holder

Yeah, I thought the connection was the same but I guess not. There can't be any sort of standardization, that would make things too simple.
