I kept getting Kinetix 6000 servo drive fault of E04 (motor overtemp fault). The servo motor is MPL-B450F. The motor was barely warm, certainly not enough to trigger motor temp switch.
Two wires from the motor thermostat is terminated on the Kinetix wire terminal # 6 & 11 according to the online manual I found here. http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/2094-um001_-en-p.pdf
I'm attaching a screenshot from the manual.
Since the motor was not hot at all, we jumpered these two terminals and then we no longer get the E04. Had anyone have same experience?
BTW, I had to jumper the terminals AND leave the thermostat wires to the terminals (so two wires on each terminal), otherwise it wouldn't work. Doesn't make sense, I know.
