Hi,

I have to find out which IN/OUT signals is use between the Micrologix and the Kinetix 300.
I have found out that the Kinetix uses EtherNet/IP (CPI) for the control.
The drive is set up as shown in the screendump.

1. Where do I find out what the Parameter ID Number represents
2. What registers in the PLC is connected to those Parameter ID Number.

I only have the RSLogix Micro Starter software.

Thank you in advanced

If I look in the manual "Kinetix 300 EtherNet/IP Indexing Servo Drives" Appendix F It seems that the CIP signals is configured af followed

Input Assembly Links
Link A, Not enabled
Link B, Enabled and ID 653 = Fault E-Code
Link C, Enabled and ID 30 = Continuous RMS Current for motor selected
Link D, Enabled and ID 32 = Peak current limit for 8kHz operation

Output Assembly Links
Link A, Enabled and ID 178 = Decel value used for faults and aborts
Link B, Not enabled
Link C, Enabled and ID 30 = Continuous RMS Current for motor selected
Link D, Enabled and ID 32 = Peak current limit for 8kHz operation

I am a bit confused. Is the Input Assambly link signals from the PLC to the Drive?
And then the Output from Drive to PLC?

How does the ID 30 function? Is that for limiting the current for the Drive?
And how is it possible to write to the ID653, if it is an signal from the Drive?

Thank you

Hi gbradley,

Yes that i found out.
But how can I se where in the PLC-program the data are stored?

I am thinking that ex.

Output Assembly Links
Link A, Enabled and ID 178 = Decel value used for faults and aborts

Should be stored in N7:0 or something like that.

The machine is workng, I just have to find out where the data are stored in the PLC-program.
I have made a upload with RSLogix Micro Starter software, but I have no comments etc.

I have a look at the sampel code section.

Thanks
Dariusch

I don't know if this helps, but if you get the standard version of RSLogix the Custom Data Monitor that is grayed out in Starter is available.
That may help you find what you are looking for?

Hi gbradley,

Yes that is what I wanted,
but do I also get the comments?
Or are the datas always in the same order, so I can use your screendum to locate Data Link A, that would be line no 15 from top?

Thanks again for your quick reply
