Beckhoff losing persistent data values

Similar problem with a BC9120.
Need variables to be Modbus TCP accessible and if you try to declare a RETAIN or PERSISTANT variable as AT %MD0:Real it will compile but not retain through power cycles.

Any suggestions or sample code would be much appreciated.

I remember experimenting with a BC of a CX (this I don't remember) and I had the same problems.

i phoned Beckhoff and their support said something about using a UPS.

I thought he was talking about a hardware UPS but it was a function block that you have to use to retain data when you loose power.

Maybe somebody has more knowledge of this functionblock?
