AB Panel view plus 1000(2711p) not communicating with GE Versamax PLC

AB Panel view plus 1000 (reffered old 27111P) communicating with GE Versamax on its RS232 port is installed on site. It was asked to make a backup of 2711P.
I bought a new touch panel (refereed new2711p). Project .mer file was uploaded from old 2711-P and then downloaded into new 2711p. But error was coming as "can not open project due to version incompatibility" after that i upgraded the firmware of new 2711p into. 5.10.16.09.( old firmware 3.20.03.42 CPR6). now after project file .mer downloaded, it is running in new 2711p but new 2711p is not communicating with GE VersaMax PLC. old 2711p communication with GE Versamax plc is ok.
