As I currently understand things, You have now entered a whole new dimension, the world of safety plc's.
if you modify this system in any way, you must adhere to the current rules and safety regulations that are in place. it doesn't matter how long the system has been there, if you modify it, it must meet current safety standards and that is a safety plc.
I can be wrong on this, but I have had to do this for several systems to meet safety requirements. if I an incorrect, someone please correct me.
