Communication cable: PC to SLC 5/04

Dear all,

I am new in AB SLC 5/04 and RSLogix 500. Is there anybody to help me by giving the specification of communication cable from PC to Allen Bradley SLC 5/04?

Dear SHYAMAL,

You need two nos. 9 pin "D" type Female Connectors., Connect pins as below:

1) Pin No.2 to Pin No.3

2) Pin No.3 to Pin No.2

3) Pin No.5 to Pin No.5

All yer need is a bog standard 9pin - 9 pin crossover RS232 cable.

RS232 is slow. Go for DH+.

You would need a PKTX card in the PC then "Blue Hose" which is twisted pair cable between the PC and the PLC.
