Kinetix 6500 Allen Bradley INHIBIT S04…COMMUTATION NOT CONFIGURED

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with a Kinetix 6500 which gives a message:

INHIBIT S04…COMMUTATION NOT
CONFIGURED

I checked the manual but not sure what to do to fix it, the manual says:

Commutation Not Configured -
Standard Start Inhibit
• Associated permanent magnet motor commutation has not been
configured for use.
• After commutation test, the offset value stored on the motor encoder
differs from value sent from the controller by 15° or more.
1. Verify that the proper motor
feedback commutation alignment
has been selected. To run the
commutation test and to measure
the commutation offset it should
be set as Controller Offset.
2. Download project or power-cycle
drive after accepting commutation
test results.

Can someone help me to clear this error?

1) Wondering if the build-in webserver able to do the commutation test?

2) If I could get the Rxlogix 5000 designer, would I be able to directly connect the computer to the Kinetix 6500 and do the commutation test - without the project file of the whole system and disconnect the drive from the control network?

3) Attached is the screen shot from the webserver, anyone could see anything??
