Hi I need to wire module 1762-OB16 (DC Source Output Module). The module is connected to my ML 1400 PLC. I am a bit confused with the wiring, on page 8 of the installation manual, link below (Field Wiring Connections) it points out a 24V DC(Source) connected to VDC+ & DC COM terminals. I am wondering whether I need to provide an external 24VDC Power supply and connect it to these two terminals? Or this is an internal connection to the PLC, thus I would not need an external power supply? Thank you in advance.

Yes, you will need to connect a 24VDC source to these terminals. The OB16 is a transistor output module, and needs a 24VDC and 0VDC connection for the transistors to function.
