Siemens does have an SSD option in their newer M4s, and you might be able to get them to retrofit your M3.
However, ANY SSD should work. Note that SSDs are a bit slimmer than a standard 2.5" HDD, so you may need to use a spacer to make it fit properly. Most SSDs come with one, just in case.
Do not do stuff like this the day before you have a big job . It is not unlikely your licenses or something might get corrupted. No problem getting them replaced by Siemens, but it might take a day or two. You could transfer all licenses to a USB drive first.
