voltage divider question for servo input

I am trying to look at two input signals on a servo. The inputs are 24V DC but my data logger is only 2.5 volt in. Does anyone see a problem coming off of the input using a 1000 ohm and 10,000 ohm resistor as a voltage divider; it comes out to 2 ma load on circuit.
