Oh, I see, I had to get away from the US website and go to a European website.....


I dont see a trial version of GX Works 2 but I found GX works 3
which I am downloading,


I assume 3 is an updated version of 2?

GX Works 3 can use only iQ-F and iQ-R PLC Series(But when install they have GX Works 2 and GX Developer bundle with it).

For GX Works 2 first you should login at https://eu3a.mitsubishielectric.com then select these link.

ok, I had already been there and downloaded GX Works2 1.576
but found that it needed some code number to install.
is this version 1.501 you suggested going to install as a demo or will it need some code also?

I recommend you to use demo version beacuse code number are buy with license from Mitsubishi.

Well that's why I asked, the links you posted for ver 1.501 do not say demo either...


I'll see what I get when this demo of GX Works 3 gets done downloading, if GX Works 2 is bundled with it then I should be good to go, if not I'll look elsewhere.

Update...


Got the GX Works 3 demo installed, and it shows an option to start GX Works 2, but GX Works 2 has to already be installed....


I went back and downloaded the GX Works 2 ver 1.501 that Wasan had suggested, and indeed it did have the option to enter the license code OR install in demo mode.


My USB cable showed up Saturday, and I was online with the PLC Sunday.


All is good in the world ;-)
