SLC 500 and Panelview Communication

What communication card for a desktop computer would be needed to communicate with the SLC 500 processors? Also, which Panelviews can be used with the SLC 500? Can the 550 and Micro 300 be used with the SLC 500 and what cables are needed for these Panelviews for programming from a desktop and for communication with the SLC 500? Know its a lot of information but need help.

Which model of SLC 5/01,5/02,5/03,5/04,5/05?

What's the end use? Panel views come it lots of different configurations. Some are DH485, some are DH+, some are RIO etc...

It is a 1747-L40A.

The PIC and UIC will program PV 550's with the following part numbers: 2711-x5A2, 2711-x5A2L1, 2711-x5A3 & 2711-x5A3L1. To connect them to the SLC, you need a 1747-C10 cable. These have DH-485 ports like the SLC 500 fixed (RJ-45). The 2711-x5A5 and x5A9 series are DH-485, but communicate over a 9-pin RS-232 port. For these you need a 2706-NC13 cable for programming. To connect these to the SLC you would need a 1761-CBLAS03 connected to a 1761-NET-AIC and the 2706-NC13 cable to connect the NET-AIC to the PV 550.
To program a PV 300 Micro (DH-485 p/n 2711-M3A19L1), you need a 1761-CBL-PM02. To connect it to your SLC, you would need this cable connected to a 1761-NET-AIC and a 1761-CBLAS03 connected between the NET-AIC and your SLC.
