D100

Hello all!
I have a d100 controller I purchased a long time ago, it has sat on the shelf, and I finaly got around to seting it up. I had programming software, but have since exsperianced a hard drive crash. I saw there was a link to the software here... But the link is dead. I was hoping someone could help me out and send me the cutler software that dose not required any dongles, or keys.

Thanks in advance!!

@ Wsteigerwalt:
Do you have the interface cable? If not, there is enough info in this thread to build one using the MAX232 chip.

@jrwb4gbm I am happy to see you still use this site. From reading the threads posted, you are the godfather of the classic PLC industry!
I do have a cable to connect to the computer, thank you to your earlier posts. I do not have the software, the available Toshiba software requires a dongle. I have been unsuccessful in locating said dongle. At one time I had a cutler hammer software, not requiring the hardware key. I saw there was a link here, but it is currently dead.

Welcome to the forum.
Since you are new here, you may not be familiar with the Private messages section. The button for it is up at the top right side of the screen. It is available for sending email addresses and so forth. I have some manuals in pdf form that I could email to you, if you need them.

I was mistaken about having any more manuals other than what can be downloaded from the links in my posts #5 and #13. Toshiba was the original manufacturer, C-H was just a private label, so the Toshiba manuals will provide most of the info. C-H only provided printed manuals to my knowledge.

EX20 Software

Firstly, hello all!

I see this thread was recently revived by Wsteigerwalt and I too am in a similar situation so hoping you maybe able to help 🤞🏻

I have a Toshiba Ex20 PLC which I need to upload the existing logic from, I see there was a link to the dongle/license free software here, which unfortunately has expired.

Would anybody be kind enough to send me the dongle/license free software??
Possibly jrwb4gbm as it would look like you kindly assisted Wsteigerwalt??

Thanks in advance for any assistance given. Dan.

Welcome to the forum!
There are many helpful features found at the top of the page, such as, Search, New Posts, Todays Posts, Private Messages, and so forth to assist you. This thread is a good collection of information on the EX20/40 Toshiba and the D100 (private labeled Toshiba) series by Cutler-Hammer. There are more threads which you can find using the search feature. Just type in EX20, EX40, or D100 in the keyword box.

I see my links are expired - I know I did not delete them.
Darn I'll have to dig it out again on old computer. Might take a while to find it again!

jwrb4gbm, thanks for the welcome and useful tips. I will have a browse through some of the old threads.

rigicon, if you are able to dig out the software at some point it would be very much appreciated.

One feature I find very useful is the Private Messages feature. See my post #37 on how to use it.

PS. @ rigicon,
Good to see you on the forum again.

I made a cable for the d100 PLC, It works flawlessly. Started by purchasing a serial/422 converter device used to modify sony computer screens. It can be located by googling the following search " MAX232 RS232 to TTL serial cable in DB9 shell:Monitor ECS, embedded uC, OpenWRT "

The device must be modified, as the CTS (clear to transfer), RTS (Ready to send), and Ground have to have jumper wires soldered in place to connect the terminals together inside the DB9 shell.
The CTS and RTS on the TTL side of the converter are abandon and additional length of wire is attached to the Vcc, Gnd, TX, and RX terminals. Then a RJ45 jack connected to the end of that cable using terminals 1 through 5 skipping terminal 2.
terminal 1 = Vcc
terminal 2 = skipped
terminal 3 = Rx
terminal 4 = Tx
terminal 5 = Gnd
I Will post some picks shortly. I have a completed cable on e-bay if you don't feel the motivation to make one.
