Seeing Infrared Photosensor emission

At some time in the past, someone told me about a card that you could hold in the path of an infrared photo emitter that made the beam visible, thus making alignment easier. It was supposedly a sensor vendor that provided them. Anyone heard of any?

Most of the time you can see it by looking through the camera in your phone.
