Hello,

in iFix I want to do a boolean calculation with two values, and generate an alarm if the result is true.

The calculation in my BL block is working, and I can see the result in the database manager.

The next thing is I want to create an alarm message. When I create a DA block with a SIM address, and connect it to the BL block with next block connection, the DA block does not change the value.

If I use a DO block instead, and connect the DO block to the BL block, it's working, but the DO block does not allow generating alarms.

Can anyone give me a hint of how I can generate an alarm message from the BL block result?

Thanks, Thomas
