CompactLogix Live Removal of End Cap

As the title says, does the end cap have any jumpers or resistors that would mess up my compactlogix controller if i do a hot swap of the end cap?

Yes there is a terminating resister in the end cap.

Yes they do have resistors.

1769 series, yes. 5069 series, no.

It will definitely fault out the controller. I'm not sure if it will damage the circuits. I would think not, but I wouldn't recommend doing this while the system is energized. Either way, the PLC will get a major fault that will stop the execution of all logic.
