I have an OEM application where the designer wanted to momentary set a bit in the PLC.
Clearly, this would normally be just a Switch, with a MOMENTARY action to a PLC bit.
However, this designer also surrounded the Switch with a transparent switch, set as a Item Select action.

The Item Select makes no sense to me, and I'm curious if anyone with more HAKKO VSFT experience might enlighten as to why this extra transparent switch might be used for anything.

Thanks.
