I have purchased a Siemens MP377 Panel and a CPU 314 with a couple of racks with modules.

My previous experience with panels is only a TP177 connected to a S7200.

I trying to transfer from WinCC flex to MP377 with a USB cabel, but cannot establish any connection.

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Regards Egil

Well, i didn't explain myself right there.

I use the same cabel as i use when i transfer from Step 7 too the plc.

Usb-Serial.

I use the RS 485 on the MP 377.

It's a USB-MPI converter ?

..

Never tried to download with such thing.

What I do when downloading on a new panel is:

PG/PC interface, make the PC master, and check that the settings are the same as the panel.

On the panel, open the MPI channel and set an adress, if there was allready an adress, then change it.

Check in diagnostics if you can see the setted adress.

If you can't see it there, then you can never have a connection in wincc flex.

Keep searching for the prob then.

PS: I've noticed that some panels are never seen after an OS update if they are not in transfer mode, so set the panel also in transfer mode when looking in diagnostics.

So if you are using MPI did you configure the HMI for MPI transfer in both the "S7-Transfer Settings" and the "Transfer" applets in the Control Panel of the MP377? Also, did you select MPI and the node address in the WinCC Flex transfer dialog?

Look for the usb drivers on the WinCC Flex install CD's

CD_3 > Support > DeviceDriver > USB
