Good day,

Iam replacing a faulty SLC5/04 CPU Unit [1747-L541, SER C]. The Spare Unit I have got is 1747-L541, SER B. Any advice from experts there whether this will work ?

Thanks in advance!

Per the technote, 16849:
"Look in the Literature Library for SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04, and SLC 5/05 Processors Operating System Series C, FRN 10 Release Note, Publication 1747-RN012 and SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04 Processors Operating System Series C, FRN 11 and SLC 5/05 Processors Operating System Series C, FRN 11 Release Notes, Publication 1747-RN013."

Merry Christmas

OTOH, if all you have available is a Series B, just put it in, and see if it works. What's the worst case outcome: its still broke, and you buy the exact replacement.
