Hello,

I have a client that is requesting E-Signatures within a PlantPAx HMI. I know this is possible with some custom VBA behind the PlantPAx faceplates. However I would prefer a cleaner, out of the box approach if one exists. Does anyone have experience doing this and what solution did you use?

Thanks!

The optional FactoryTalk eProcedure component displays operator instructions in a web page or browser ActiveX. eProcedure supports electronic signatures and signoffs captured in the batch journal.

Please see "How electronic signatures work" in the above manual.

I have not done this but it appears to be an out of the box approach.
Hope this helps you out.

You didn't mention what platform you'd be using.

FTViewME supports electronic signatures starting with 8.2. Couple checkboxes to enable.
