I swapped out a powerflex 70 for a Toshiba G9 unit.
The 70 is set up for 3 wire control coming out of the
PLC (Omron)
The user manual and terminal strip diagram are
About as clear as mud on the G9.
I've got F figured out, run forward.
But now I have to stop the bloody thing.
Where the bejesus does the common go.
I've read the user manual and think I have it figured out
But........

I think you need to program one of the other input terminals as a stop, it is not clear however, perhaps the always on terminal could be programmed as a stop. It appears these terminals can be programmed as N/O or N/C.
Or change the control to just use the cmd run terminal so if on it runs or off it stops rather than 3 wire control i.e. start/stop.

There is a technote on Toshiba's resource library covering 3 wire control for the G9.

Forward NO contacts between CC and F
Reverse NO contacts between CC and R
Stop NC contacts between CC and S1
Parameter F115 Change from 10 to 50 ( Hold Direction)

I saw the tech note, but using a 24 vdc output module
F is run forward input
S1 is coast to stop input
What about my common wire, dc- back to the input
module?
I'm using an external source, a 24 VDC output module

Your common wire, DC- ties between the CC terminal of the drive and 0VDC of your 24V power supply.

Didn't realize you were using a 24V output module
Change jumper J101 to pins 2-3 for external 24VDC
Change jumper J100 to pins 2-3 for Source
Remove the jumper between CC & ST and run +24VDC to the ST terminal

Thank you

So..... F = run forward output from PLC
ST = stop output from PLC
CC = DC- or 0 volts back to PLC
I kind of reasoned that out, but haven't been
able to test it yet.
