Hi everybody. I have taken class in PLC last summer. I diced that I am going to do a small project to understand plc more and how other devices can interfere with the plc

My project detail is :

it is a one level parking lot with 5 parking space ( small scale project)

* 2 inputs ( sensors for entering and exiting)
* 2 outputs ( gate for entering and exiting)
* 1/2 output(s) ( for the display : number of empty spaces and full sign. up/down display)

My problem are : 1. what is a cheap PLC that cover the details ?
2. How I chose display and let it interfere with plc ? (some ideas?)
3. where I can find small gates like the one in the real parking lots( l---- )

Please If you have any ideas let me know
Thanks

Hello,
I don't know about gates, but for a cheap PLC and display look at the click PLC's and c-more micro series HMI from automation direct.
Hope this helps,

Dave

From my standpoint as someone learning PLCs for personal home-automation projects, I strongly agree with Dave's recommendation of the Click.

As for miniature gates, maybe someone makes them for model railroad layouts?

1. What is a cheap PLC that cover the details ?

2. How I chose display and let it interface with plc ? (some ideas?)
Choose one that will connect to and work with your PLC. Link to a C-More Operator panel that will connect to the CLICK:

3. Where I can find small gates like the one in the real parking lots?
Link to Model Railroad Crossing Gates, which should do the job:
