Assign IP address

I built 4 panels using panelbuilder. Now I need to assign IP addresses to the panels and connect them to the DH485 network.What do I need to do? How do I make sure that my programs I built are working fine?

If you can download, then you are half-way there. (for known errors)
For the Addressing, just use 1-31 (providing that there are no other addresses that are the same). Keep 0 open for a PC.
You specifiy the address in Configuration options in the PV appliation or on the PV hardware itself.
Connect..interconnect, and wa-la.

The question as asked has me slightly confused, if you want to set the DH485 address open the application then click on terminal setup then Comms and set the Node address.

IP is Internet Protcol which is used for Ethernet.

I am sorry, I need to set the panelview on ehternet network and I need to assign IP address. How do I know which IP address is next available on the network and how do I assign it to a panel?

If this is an existing network you would need to ask the customer, most likely the engineer/maintenance person in charge of that network. If it is one you are setting up then anything that does not conflict and you may want to ask the customer if he wants routable or non-routable addressing (if this makes no sense then you may want to read about IP-addressing before making decisions). Another question would be if the network should be class b or c (this affects the sub-net mask and the total number of clients that the network segment can support).
