Managed Switch settings

Hello All,

From what A-B told me, when I do remoted I/O over EtherNet I would need a managed switch. So I use the N-Tron 8port managed switch.

My question is do I need to program the managed switch (N-Tron) with certain parameters or can I just use the switch out of the box w/out any programming the switch?
