Omron copy D memory area old cpu to new cpu? - PLCS.net

Project involves updating a ~23 year old controller (C200HX CPU64). The HMI is a windows NT machine with the gui done with Delphi 5 (Pascal)
communication via SYSMAC library.

Replacement is CJ2M CPU15 with devicenet and enet modules. New gui is Ignition using FINS driver. Working.

All HMI <-> PLC traffic is the D memory area. I'd like to snapshot the 'DM' area (all of it) from the old CPU, and write into the new CPU 'D' area.

Possible?
If so, any insights appreciated.

Go online with CX-Programmer.
Choose Memory on the left.
New window will open, choose D from the list of areas
Make sure you are online and the values are populated in the spreadsheet view.
Go to File pull down menu, Save to File and it should create a file with the values.

Then you should be able to Import the File into the new processor.
