Hi,

I need to install a cp343-1 module which isn't currently listed in my hardware catalog.
When I try to download hardware updates from the internet, I get an error saying a connection could not be established, and to check the address in Settings.
The address it is pointing to is:
http://www.siemens.com/automation/step7-hwconfig2
Is this incorrect, or could it be that the server is down?

Are there any other ways around this. I have 6GK7 343-1 EX20-0XE0 in my catalog, but not 6GK7 343-1 EX21-0XE0, which is the module I have in my hands.

Any help would be appreciated.

Phill

Hey Phil,

Use the attached file to import the module data into HW Config (unzip first).

HW Config
-> Options
-> Edit Catalog Profile
-> Profile
-> Import...
-> (enter the name of the attached file)
-> search for your module under:
SIMATIC 300
CP-300
Industrial Ethernet
CP 343-1
6GK7 343-1EX21-0XE0
V1.0

...You're welcome.
