Need help reading 1395 Drive data on DH+

I have an AB 1395 DC Drive with a Multi-Comm board, it shows up on the DH+ in RSview and I can read it's data using Drive Manager. But I can't get it to read into my PanelView 1000 Plus or into an Excel spreadsheet via DDE link to RSview.

I've read that the drive emulates a PLC-5 and maps it's parameters 0 thru 999 to N10:0 thru N10:999 so in my
RSlinx DDE topic I choose PLC5 and in my spreadsheet I look at
N10:633 (parameter 633) but it doesn't read data.
Also I set my Panelview to look at it's DH+ address as a PLC5 but it doesn't read data from the drive either.

Certainly I don't have to transfer the data into another PLC and read it from there do I?. Is anyone able to read this drive data on a Panelview or into a spreadsheet ? Thanks.

Can you post the DDE code you are using? The syntax is very specific and debuggin can be tricky...

My DDE syntax

In an Excel spreadsheet cell I have :
=RSlinx|1395DRIVE!'N10:633'

This is to read drive parameter 633
This syntax works when I try to read from an actual PLC5.
I have a Topic in RSlinx named 1395DRIVE, it is setup as
PLC5 type.
