Proface HMI conversion

I have a 12 inch Proface panel Model # AGP3600-T1-AF that I need to replace. My spare unit in stock is a PFXGP4601-TAA. When I tried to download my project I got "Download aborted, target different" or something to that effect.
My software is GP-ProEX ver 3.01.000.
Questions:
1. Is my software too old for the 4601? If it is, what version do I need?
2. Provided I have the correct software, will this project convert and run with no issues?
3. Do I need an SD card in the replacement?
