Hi all, i have some issues with the security accountes.

I create an administrator account who doesn't have access to the "Manual control display" on my application. I put the security of the display on "A" and my administrator account only have permissions from "D" to "P".
But in the client, when i logging with the account i can access to the display with "A" security.

Did i do something wrong or miss a step? Thanks in advance

Most likely the user account is part of another group that has permission to view that screen. Permissions are cumulative. For example:

User: MyUser
Member of: ENGINEERING and ALL USERS groups

ALL USERS has security: ABCD
ENGINEERING has security: EFGH

As a result, MyUser has effective permissions of: ABCDEFGH

Check the effective permissions.

1. Open Runtime Security, Click Security Accounts button.
2. Click the Effective Permissions tab and then click on the "..." ellipses button.
3. Select the user to check and click OK.
4. Expand FT Security Codes

You can now see if that user has specific codes.

Thanks, that was the issue, my administrator account has permissions from A to P, now i have another issue, when i wanna access to my application on the client send me a message saying "You do not have security privileges to access this application". How do i solve this?

Is this a new error message or a message you were seeing before? In solving the previous issue, hopefully you did not remove the ALL USERS group.

Open FT View Studio and access the Runtime Security. Make sure the ALL USERS group has not been removed and has at least one security code assigned to it. It can be any code, it just must have a code assigned.
