Gp 2501s with allen bradley SLC 05/3 cpu

Dear friend, recently I am doing a project using the communication between the Allen Bradley SLC500 series 05/3 cpu. I am using the rs232c communication port to communicate with proface gp 2501s series. But the proface touch screen always coming out the message plc is not responding. Is that any things cause this happen because rs232 support to be very easy communication. I am using the gp 2501s's 25 pins to communicate with the plc's cpu rs232c 9 pins. Pls help if any people know about the solutions tq.

Verify you have correct cable, is each device configured correctly for RS232..first set each to low baud rate until you get connection made.

Dont feel bad if it takes a day or 2 to get it right, the first time is always hard.

BTW...did you verify that PLC is in RUN?

I am asking that because I spent 2 days attempting to connect a Drive to a PLC via DeviceNet and the plc was NOT in run mode so there was no connection. I felt like such an idiot.

Take your time, check everything, cable, settings, plc operation, then recheck and recheck.

If you made your cable there may be other pins to connect that you havent. Can you post you cable pin-out to see if it seems correct?

Another question, I assume you are using GP-PRO/PB III software and have installed the driver module to use with AB SLC 500.

I have solve the problem by changing some of the setting in the AB CPU
