STUDENT QUESTION: LADSIM Bottling Plant

Glad people on here were able to help, just a bit of advice, break down your software into manageable chunks, be aware of interlocks between sequences for example in your project filler, combiner, final pack. just build the filler and get it working then move on. One suggestion on here was not to use latches, in many situations this is almost impossible, however you could code without SET/RESET by OR output round trigger rungs then put not contacts to de-latch it. this keeps the logic on one rung.

Yes that's correct, otherwise it stays on sometimes it's better to put the reset under the set as it is easier to debug, however it may not be convenient. Different people have different ways of doing their logic, it will make sense to them (well sometimes) but to others it may seem odd. You will see a lot of replies to posts here where people disagree on the best way, but there is a lot of experience on here so most replies to posts will have good points.

thanks for the heads up on the electrical machines i have that todo next after this one, it has been a slog like especially with a newborn!
