Had this issue happen recently. If you're getting the same, hope it helps.

When attempting to open RSLogix 5000 get the following error: Error 0x8004205f, "RxE_ORIGINATING_CONNECTOR_EXISTS - A connector already exists with this name.", see attached.


Attempted a VM reboot, did not work.

Attempting opening with Studio 5000 the program file worked. The system opened the file with the correct version of RSLogix 5000.
